When you submit an enquiry through our contact form, we collect the data you provide: your name, email address, phone number (if given), preferred chalet, approximate dates, number of guests, and any message you send us. We do not collect this data unless you actively submit the form.
Our website uses minimal technical cookies and may set an optional analytics cookie if you accept cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or any tracking beyond aggregate visit statistics.
We use your enquiry data solely to respond to your booking enquiry and to communicate with you about your potential stay. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing.
If you make a booking, your data may be shared with our property management system (Casablanca Hotelsoftware, an Austrian company) to manage your reservation, and with payment processors as required to take payment.
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access your data, correct it, request deletion, request portability, and withdraw consent. Email barbara@marmotta-chalets.com for any such request and we will respond within 30 days.
Enquiry data is retained for 24 months from your last interaction with us, or until you request deletion. Booking data is retained for the period required by Austrian tax law (currently 7 years).
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you may complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde): www.dsb.gv.at.
